Milwaukee fans traveling to St. Petersburg, Florida, spent Monday night celebrating from behind the visiting dugout. Their team is now one victory away from its first World Series championship.

The Brewers routed the Tampa Bay Rays 10-1 in Game 3. This win marks the eighth straight game for Milwaukee, tying the major league record for a single postseason.

The offensive surge came in the fifth inning. With two outs, the Brewers recorded seven consecutive hits. This sequence produced eight two-out runs, a first in World Series history. Jackson Chourio led the charge, finishing the game 4 for 5 with a double. Brice Turang opened the run with a two-run single after a batted ball bounced off shortstop Taylor Walls' glove.

Robert Gasser delivered a historic pitching performance for the home team. The rookie left-hander retired 14 consecutive batters before walking Victor Mesa Jr. to start the sixth. Gasser became the first starter to face the minimum 18 batters through six innings in a World Series game since Curt Schilling in 2001. He also became the first left-hander to achieve this feat since Sandy Koufax in 1965.

Manager Pat Murphy credited Chourio with providing a major lift. Chourio has collected eight hits in three series games. He compared his mindset to the discipline of Kobe Bryant. Chourio noted that he treated every at-bat as if it were his last, aiming to reach base by any means necessary.

The Rays now face a steep challenge. Only the 2004 Boston Red Sox have ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a best-of-seven postseason series. Rays manager Kevin Cash acknowledged the difficult position, stating the team must use its remaining opportunities to win. Tampa Bay led the American League with 98 regular-season wins but has struggled defensively in this series.

Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday night at Tropicana Field. Griffin Jax will start for Tampa Bay, while Milwaukee has not yet announced its pitcher. A victory in the next game would make the Brewers the first team to sweep both the League Championship Series and the World Series since the 1976 Cincinnati Reds.
