Jay-Z will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on Feb. 14, 2027. The NFL, Apple Music, and the rapper announced the booking on Monday. The game is scheduled for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Jay-Z's production company, Roc Nation, has managed the halftime show since 2019. The company recently signed a five-year extension that keeps it in charge through 2029. Since Roc Nation took over, the shows have focused more on hip-hop and rap artists.
The 2026 halftime show at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara featured Bad Bunny. Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin joined him as guests. The last Super Bowl Halftime Show held in Los Angeles took place in 2022. That lineup included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Cameos from 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak rounded out the performance.
Recent headliners include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023. Despite his ties to the league and previous performers, Jay-Z has never played at the Super Bowl. The 25-time Grammy winner has spent 2026 touring to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint.
His Jay-Z 30 Tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. He followed that with two shows in London and one in Paris in September. His final scheduled dates occurred on Oct. 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. Those two nights effectively served as a rehearsal for his upcoming Super Bowl appearance.
