Paris Saint-Germain has moved to secure the services of Manchester United teenager JJ Gabriel.

According to reports from Diario AS, the French club is now actively involved in the transfer negotiations for the 16-year-old forward.

Gabriel, who is currently a part of the Manchester United academy, has attracted attention from several top European clubs. While PSG is the latest entrant to the race, earlier indications suggest that Real Madrid remains the favorite to sign the player. His representatives are currently in discussions with multiple clubs across Europe, but a final decision regarding his future has not yet been reached.

The interest in Gabriel coincides with Manchester United's own defensive recruitment efforts. Football Insider reports that United is keen to sign Everton center back Jarrad Branthwaite as part of a planned overhaul of their backline. United is among the leading contenders for the 24-year-old defender, having maintained interest since their £45 million offer was rejected in 2024. Liverpool is also monitoring Branthwaite's situation, though Everton may hesitate to sell to a local rival.

Elsewhere in European football, Brighton and Hove Albion believes that Real Madrid does not possess a future purchase clause for midfielder Chema Andrés. TEAMtalk notes that while Madrid has recently shown interest in the 21-year-old, Brighton is confident in the contractual terms. Andrés, who moved to Brighton from VfB Stuttgart for £15 million last summer, has previously described a potential return to the Bernabéu as an honor.

In Belgium, Chelsea and Manchester City have shown interest in Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi. Both clubs reportedly sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old on Sunday, during which he scored a hat trick in a 3-2 victory over Sint-Truidense. Tresoldi now has 12 goals in 14 appearances across all competitions. City views him as a potential long-term replacement for Erling Haaland, while Chelsea seeks him as a backup option for João Pedro.

Inter Milan is in contract negotiations with wing back Federico Dimarco. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 28-year-old and the club have agreed on a two-year extension, which would keep him at San Siro until the summer of 2028. However, the parties remain distant on salary figures, with Inter currently unwilling to meet Dimarco's request for a deal worth €7.5 million per season.
